Challenge
Close was a month-end archaeology project. Entities, currencies, and approvals did not fit the spreadsheet that started the company.
Approach
We modeled entities and approvals first, then built a ledger the controllers could reconcile without exporting their own job into a file.
Outcome
The close is visible during the month. Approvals have an owner. The inbox is no longer the system of record.
